Mark S. Schuver
Mark S. Schuver is a shareholder at Mathis, Marifian & Richter (MM&R), who focuses his practice in commercial litigation, civil litigation, personal injury, employment law, medical malpractice and product liability.
Mark has more than 20 years experience in handling a wide variety of civil and commercial litigation cases, including personal injury, employment law, employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, product liability, medical malpractice and complex litigation. He routinely advises employers on a wide range of employment-related issues. He has represented both employers and individuals in proceedings in both state and federal courts, as well as before various administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. Mark has successfully obtained settlements and judgments in excess of $40 million on behalf of MM&R clients since joining the firm in 1999.
Mark has represented a wide range of corporate clients, including national and international business and product manufacturers, hospitals and health-care providers, public utilities, automobile manufacturers and railroads. He has represented individuals and companies in many jurisdictions, including Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Louisiana and West Virginia.
Before joining MM&R, Mark served as a partner with a large St. Louis-based law firm. Mark is also responsible for authoring a chapter regarding product liability defenses in a book entitled Illinois Products Liability, which was published by Lawyers Cooperative Publishing.

Mark is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, the St. Clair County Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

Mark received a BA from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1983 and his JD from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1987.
