Melissa C. Meirink
Bio
Melissa C. Meirink is a shareholder at Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd. who focuses her practice in civil litigation, employment law, and commercial litigation. Prior to joining MM&R in 2016, she worked for a St. Louis law firm in the area of civil litigation and family law.
Melissa earned her B.A. in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2008. She then attended Saint Louis University School of Law and graduated cum laude with her J.D. in 2011. While in law school, Melissa served as an editor for the Saint Louis University Law Journal, Treasurer of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, and was a faculty fellow. She also actively participated in SLU’s legal clinic, where she assisted clients through the Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry. During that time, Melissa was recognized as a David Grant Clinic Student Award Finalist for dedication and commitment to the representation of clinic clients.

Melissa is a proud member of the Illinois State Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, St. Clair County Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and American Bar Association. She has been selected as an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers.
Community Involvement
Melissa currently serves on the Board of Directors of the St. Clair County Historical Society and is a 2017 graduate of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Belleville program. She also serves as an arbitrator for the St. Clair County Circuit Court and is a Board Member at St. Teresa Catholic School.
